Hockey Wilderness has a new look

My other Minnesota Wild Blog, Hockey Wilderness, has a sweet new layout. I haven’t figured out how to use all the bells and whistles yet, but I am stoked! It looks trendier than the previous version and the folks over at SB Nation promise big things from this new site. Minnesota Wild Sold

Craig Leipold, former owner of the Nashville Predators, has bought the Minnesota Wild and all its entities for an undisclosed amount of money. Leipold is a resident of Racine, Wisconsin and is said to be a real hockey guy. In fact when current Minnesota Wild owner Bob Naegle informed Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty that Greg Leipold was coming to the Wild, the Governor said, “Oh good the Wild could always use another defenseman.” Leipold has a repuation as a passionate hockey guy and this MN Wild Freak thinks although the move is oddly timed (middle of the season) it should be seamless to fans. If anything, it will be interesting to see a new owner roaming the concourses of the Xcel Energy Center or at least roaming the Xcel suite level.

Wild on a Preseason Roll

The Minnesota Wild have been on a roll since losing their first preseason game. The Wild have won the past 4 games straight including defeating the St Louis Blues last night 7 to zip at the X. The Wild have two more preseason games before the Wild Season opener on October 4th. Want to read more details about the Wild players and the Wild games? New Wild Blog

The world of NHL Bloggers seems so much smaller than their MLB counterparts. There are a million baseball blogs and baseball web pages dedicated to stats and fantasy baseball, but hockey is just starting to hit the internet craze phase. SB Nation, one of the largest sports blogging communities is just starting to get hockey bloggers up and going.
