October 3rd, 2013: MN Wild Opener

The Wild Opener is approaching quickly! And I have one thing to say about that, THANK GOSH!


Minnesota Wild tickets everywhere are flying off the shelves. It's a good thing you stopped by my blog, because I have found you a great selection of tickets. Buy your tickets today to see Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu back in action in their first FULL season together. And judging for how last season went, it's going to be another great one.

No lock out, no problem. Can't wait to sit my butt down at the Xcel Energy Center and watch some hockey.

In the home opener, the Minnesota Wild will play the Los Angeles Kings. The game is set for Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.

MN Wild Preseason Results

The Minnesota Wild have been killing it on the ice. The Wild played the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, September 17th, with a loss of 3-1. Then they played the Jets on Thursday, September 19th and won 4-1. Yesterday, the Wild played the Jets again and won 4-3 with a shoot out. Missing out on the action? The Wild will be playing tomorrow against the Blue Jackets. Need a home game fix? Get to the last preseason Wild game, which is on Friday, September 27th.

Minnesota Wild and their New Jersey's!

Our favorite professional hockey team, the our very own Minnesota Wild, have unveiled their new road jersey and we couldn't be more thrilled! I couldn't make it to the unveiling at the MN State Fair, but trust me, I cruised the internet for all the details, so I feel like I was there.


The jersey's were unveiled for the first time on September 1st at the MN State fair to a huge crowd of hockey fans. Take a peek at the picture below and make your own call on the design. I personally love them. They are very clean cut and professional.

The Wild will still use the red uniform as a home jersey, and for the first time since 2007, the home and road uniforms look similar. I'm actually hoping this can only mean the Wild will play uniformly together now when they are home and away!

Wild Head to Training Camp

The Minnesota Wild appear to be ready to head to training camp, which opens on September 11th. Training camp is a great way to ease into the season. It seems as though the Minnesota Wild basically have their top line and first defensive pair figured out, and training camp will help the team get situated and positioned. We all know it's pretty obvious where top players like Brodin, Parise and Suter will end up, but what about the younger players and even Dany Heatley? They need to be at the top of their game to keep playing frequently for the Minnesota Wild, and they know it.

The best part of these Minnesota Wild training camp starting up is that it is closer to hockey season!!

Wild 2013-2014 Preseason Schedule

The Wild's preseason schedule has been announced and I have got the dates, opponents and times for all our Wild fans. Is it September yet? Honestly.... The Wild will play home-and-home series against the Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets. The Wild will close out their preseason at the Calgary Flames, and we don't think there is anything better.

Tuesday 9/17 Wild vs Blue Jackets 7 pm

Thursday 9/19 Jets at Wild 7 pm

Saturday 9/21 Wild vs Jets 7 pm

Monday 9/23 Blue Jackets vs Wild 6 pm

Wednesday 9/25 Wild vs Blues 7 pm

Friday 9/27 Wild at Blues 7 pm

New Season, New Division For the Minnesota Wild

Exciting news for all you MN Wild fans! The National Hockey League's Board of Governors has approved realignment and a division-based format for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This new division-based format is effective for the 2013-14 season. The new alignment for the Wild is as follows: Western Conference Division B: Minnesota, Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Nashville, St. Louis and Winnipeg. And just in case you don't know where each team plays, I've included it below!

Minnesota Wild play at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota

Chicago Blackhawks play at United Center in Chicago, Illinois. 

Colorado Avalanche play at Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. 

Dallas Stars play at the  American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. 

Nashville Predators play at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. 

St. Louis Blues play at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Wild Roster Different Next Season

The Minnesota Wild roster will look different this season with some big moves, signs and trades. This includes signing Minnesota native Keith Ballard, which Minnesota couldn't be more excited about. But, letting go of fan favorites like Matt Cullen and Cal Clutterbuck isn't as easy. We wish those players the best next season, even though we will miss them so much!

Matt Cooke Signed to MN Wild!

The Minnesota Wild have signed Matt Cooke to their roster, and we couldn't be more excited. Cooke was officially introduced as a member of the Wild when he signed a three-year, $7.5 million contract with the team on the opening day of free agency. We'll see how fans react to Matt Cooke as he made a living while he tormented the Minnesota Wild as he was a member of the Vancouver Canucks... Oops! Bet you wish you had been a little nicer, huh Matt? He was with the Canucks for his first nine seasons of his NHL career. Keep checking back to our website to see other Wild trades and gossip!
