Minnesota Wild Interested in Mike Modano

Mike Modano could have been a longtime Minnesota fan favorite. That changed when the Minnesota North Stars moved the franchise to Dallas. Now, after playing the last 16 seasons for the Dallas Stars, it appears the Minnesota Wild are making a pitch for the veteran to play a season in Minnesota. Mike Modano's contract expired with the Dallas Stars and he is pending retirement or playing one more season. The Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks have also reached out to Mike Modano. He is 40 years old and the Dallas Stars already stated they will not be retaining #9.

Minnesota Wild Last Home Game

There is still one more chance to see the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center this season - Saturday April 10th.

The Minnesota Wild will face off against the Dallas Stars on Saturday April 10th at 7pm - the game is bittersweet as the Minnesota Wild will NOT be in the NHL Playoffs this year so this will be the last game at the X. The Wild promotions department is trying to sweeten the game experience though by calling it fan celebration night and offering up autographed Wild jerseys, pucks, sticks and more. It should be a fun night and there are still tickets available from ticket brokers like Ticket King. Besides it could be Mike Modano's last game, it would be kind of cool to own a ticket stub from Modano's first game and his last game. . . both taking place in Minnesota.
