Anthony LaPanta is the new Wild TV play-by-play sportscaster

After seven seasons hearing Dan Terhaar announce Wild games, it's going to be difficult to switch to a new voice. Anthony LaPanta will be announcing the play-by-plays for the Wild starting next season.

LaPanta isn't new to doing the play-by-plays. He's been a primary announcer for the Gopher men's hockey team, and has filled in for the Twins and the Timberwolves on occasion. He's worked for FSNorth for quite some time, and, since they broadcast the Wild games, it was pretty clear he would get the job. Some people are very unhappy with the choice, but I hope he does a wonderful job next season.

How do you feel about the Wild choosing LaPanta?
