One of the Minnesota Wild's 2nd round picks from 2010 was Jason Zucker, a Las Vegas native. Through the first half of the college season, he ranks 2nd in the WCHA in goals for the Denver Pioneers. He has played great through the first half and was named to the United States World Junior Team (Under 20). In the first game against Finland, he tallied a goal. Jason Zucker Continues To Impress
Under old general manager Doug Risebrough, the drafting for the Minnesota Wild was not strong. Although we had some nice 1st round picks in Marian Gaborik, Brent Burns, Pierre Marc Bouchard, and Mikko Koivu, there were plenty of tougher ones to swallow. Those picks are playing a large part in the last 2 seasons and right now. The team did not do a good enough job of stockpiling talent and the prospect pool. However, Chuck Fletcher has made a point to stockpile as much talent as possible through drafting.
